WORDFIRE PRESS AND ARADIO BROTHERS STUDIOS ANNOUNCES COLT THE OUTLANDER BOOK SERIES

PART OF A MULTIMEDIA PUSH MONUMENT, CO.
Thursday, July 14, 2016 – WordFire Press has announced a joint venture with Aradio Brothers Studios to develop their successful Colt the Outlander series for readers who enjoy adventure and excitement in their science fiction. Colt the Outlander was created by the Aradio Brothers Dominic, RC, and Dante Pacella for the pages of Heavy Metal Magazine, the world’s premiere illustrated sci-fi fantasy magazine.
Colt the Outlander is a series about a rogue bounty hunter joined by his alluring yet deadly ladies. Together, they fearlessly scour the abandoned mining wastelands of Neb-6 for fugitives and treasures in fast-paced adventures.
Colt the Outlander, an intellectual property by Aradio Brothers Studios, has ambitions to build their Colt intellectual property into a multimedia platform featuring video games, visual entertainment, comics and, of course, books. Aradio Brothers commented that, “Colt the Outlander has proven itself as great entertainment with amazing characters in a Retro Sci-Fi universe. Now is time to use that rich history and loyal fan base to reach entire new audiences that other mediums can provide. We are ecstatic to see our life’s work expanded upon by the likes of Kevin J. Anderson and the great authors at WordFire Press. It’s an exciting time to be a fan of Colt the Outlander.”
WordFire Press, under its publishers Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta who are also internationally bestselling authors, has built an impressive stable of authors and storytellers. WordFire Press also publishes works by Frank Herbert (author of Dune), Pulitzer Prize-winning political novelist Allen Drury (Advise and Consent), New York Times bestsellers, Alan Dean Foster, Jody Lynn Nye, Robert Asprin, and Christie Golden, multiple award-winner Mike Resnick, Nebula award winner Gregory Benford, legendary comics writer Mike Baron, and Rush band member Neil Peart.
This is one of WordFire Press’s first forays into a multimedia tie-in, but with Publisher Kevin J. Anderson’s experience in tie-in properties like Star Wars, DC Comics and others, it will lead Colt the Outlander books on a clear path to success.
Kevin J. Anderson stated, “Colt the Outlander is the property that WordFire Press has been waiting for to bring in an exciting new readership. Aradio Brothers Studios have created a great world and characters for Colt the Outlander. Quincy Allen and I, along with other authors at WordFire Press, look forward to playing in that world and building upon it.”
WordFire Press and Aradio Brother Studios have jointly announced that a teaser novella written by Kevin J. Anderson will be available at the Dominic and RC Aradio’s tables in Artist Alley; AA-23 and AA-24 at the San Diego Comic Con. The first full-length Colt the Outlander novel will be written by Quincy J. Allen who has written Chemical Burn and The Blood War Chronicles. WordFire Press Teams with Humble Bundle for Innovative “Sci-Fi Specials” Bundle WordFire Press and Humble Bundle have announced their second partnership with an ambitious “Sci-Fi Specials Bundle” featuring 18 major titles in a pay-what-you-want grab bag, for a limited time.

Kevin J. Anderson, publisher of WordFire Press and an international bestselling author in his own right with 23 million copies of his works in print, says, “Bundles offer an exciting and innovative way for a new independent publisher to draw attention to a lot of titles at once—and everybody benefits, from the authors, to the readers, to the designated non-profits.” Last year, Humble Bundle ran a successful bundle featuring only WordFire Press titles which sold over 11,000 copies in only two weeks.

“The new Sci-Fi Specials Bundle is the best one we’ve ever run,” Anderson says. Instead of just a grab bag of books, fully half of the 18 titles in the Sci-Fi Specials Bundle are not available to the public at the time of the Bundle launch on April 6.

One book—the new anthology Decision Points, featuring stories by bestsellers and award winners Jody Lynn Nye, Lois McMaster Bujold, Robert J. Sawyer, Jonathan Maberry, Kevin J. Anderson, and a never-before-collected Ender’s Game story by Orson Scott Card—is included here as an advance pre-production proof. The remaining books in the bundle have never previously appeared in any other bundle. The Sci-Fi Specials Bundle includes books by Alan Dean Foster, F. Paul Wilson, Dune author Frank Herbert (a collection of four previously unpublished novels), Kevin J. Anderson, J. A. Pitts, Andrew Mayne, Mario Acevedo, D.J. Butler, Ramon Terrell, Neo Edmund, Jason Henderson, Shean Pao, Quincy J. Allen, Peter J Wacks and J.R. Boyett, Josh Vogt, and Aaron Michael Ritchey. Readers choose the amount they want to pay, and the bundle unlocks more titles at certain bonus levels. A portion of the proceeds goes directly to the designated charities—the Challenger Learning Centers for Space Science Education and the Emergency Medical Fund for the Science Fiction Writers of America.

The Sci-Fi Specials Bundle will run exclusively from April 6 through April 20, after which it will no longer be available. https://www.humblebundle.com Humble Bundle sells digital content through its pay-what-you-want bundle promotions and the Humble Store. When purchasing a bundle, customers choose how much they want to pay and decide where their money goes—between the content creators, charity, and Humble Bundle. Since the company's launch in 2010, Humble Bundle has raised more than $71 million through the support of its community for a wide range of charities, providing aid for people across the world.
