The tragic shooting at the pulse nightclub in Orlando has affected us all in varying ways, and it is an imperative that the arts and entertainment community stand shoulder to shoulder with the LGBT community, as we are all one human community and one humanity. That is why we are proud to announce that MegaCon Orlando has joined with the central Florida community to host "Love Is Love"
MegaCon is proud to host a weekend of Love is Love programming. The proceeds will benefit Equality Florida, Florida’s civil rights leader working for the LGBT community.
Following the Pulse Nightclub Shooting in Orlando, a project in the comic community named Love is Love began to take shape. A group of more than 300 comic book creators contributed to the creation of a comic anthology, the proceeds from which were donated to the victims, the survivors and their families via Equality FL. The events at MegaCon Orlando will be continuing in this spirit, honoring the 49 lives lost by donating all proceeds to Equality Florida, Florida’s largest civil rights organization.
